About Me

As a native to the mid-Atlantic region, I am excited to offer a warm yet evidence-based approach to the area. While I believe structure is critical to the therapeutic process, I also value flexibility and collaboration.

I tend to bring compassion, humor, and a bit of sarcasm into the room. My clients tend to enjoy a balance of being supported while also being challenged.

Education

I graduated cum laude from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with a BA in Psychology before earning my MA in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. I later moved to Philadelphia to pursue my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at the APA-accredited Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). During my training, I developed advanced skills in therapy—particularly cognitive behavioral therapy—as well as psychological assessment.

Training

Prior to opening my practice, I completed my APA-accredited doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Southeast Louisiana VA in New Orleans. There, I provided assessment, individual therapy, and group therapy services to a diverse population of Veterans residing in the greater New Orleans area. During my internship, I gained experience in PTSD, palliative care, behavioral medicine, and chronic and persistent mental illness (e.g., psychosis, bipolar disorder). On my residency year, I specialized in trauma/PTSD and inpatient psychology.

During my doctoral training, I had the privilege of working in a variety of settings throughout the greater Philadelphia area. These experiences helped me develop a deep appreciation for the many ways people respond to and recover from difficult experiences. I also completed a two-year externship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Cognitive Therapy, where I worked with individuals facing challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship and attachment difficulties, grief, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. In addition, my work as a forensic evaluator conducting assessments for Philadelphia youth in family court gave me a deeper understanding of how trauma impacts adolescent development. These experiences continue to shape my warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy today.
